Seltzer Bottles - Soda Siphons Soda siphon and seltzer bottle are different names for the same item. There is no difference between the two. They both function the same and produce the same carbonated water. One manufacturer will use one name while another manufacturer will use the other name. Some of the primary differences that determine the price of a seltzer bottle or soda siphon include the bottle, whether plastic, aluminum, glass or stainless steel; the head, composite being less expensive than brass; size of the bottle; and warranty. The reputation of the manufacturer is also a factor. The most expensive seltzer bottles and soda siphons are stainless steel with brass heads and have lifetime warranties. Chargers Most manufacturers recommend using their brand of chargers in their bottles. Of course this helps them sell chargers. We carry screw type chargers from all the bottle suppliers, iSi, Mr. Fizz (Leland) and Liss. Any of the chargers works well in any of the seltzer bottles - soda siphons we carry. These chargers work fine in other brands as well. Click here for our soda and seltzer chargers. All the 1 liter and 1 quart bottles use 1 charger to make 1 bottle of water. The Liss 2 Liter need 2 chargers for each 2 liter bottle of water. We suggest buying some extra chargers with your soda siphon to save on the shipping.
